This question may seem dumb but genuinely, why does the shape matter so much? I've seen very dedicated flat earthers around but why do y'all care if it's flat or round. However this causes a dilemma. Suppose the Sun’s altitude is less than 1000km. Then, when directly overhead, it will look at least 10x bigger than when over a point 10,000 km away.
