I think the Moon is like a mirror. The craters are most likely blisters that popped from extreme heat emitted from the Sun which reflected from the ground. No new craters discovered since telescopes were invented. We always see the same face of the Moon. For all my flat Earthers (even though i don't believe the earth is flat or a globe shape, i believe in the idea of figuring out what the earth TRULY looks like.) this is the only thing you need to say to shut "globe Earthers" up.
