There has also never been a single experiment in history showing an object massive enough to by virtue of its mass alone cause another smaller mass to orbit around it .If the Earth were a globe revolving through space from west to east at the rate of nineteen miles in a second the clouds appearing to us to move towards the east would have to move quicker than nineteen miles in a second to be seen .The thing about a black hole – its main distinguishing feature – is it's black. And the thing about space, the colour of space,…
I’m new to accepting the flat earth theory and I promise this is a real question and not a troll, I’m just looking for all the information without censorship. The moon and planets, I genuinely want to know what’s up with that attached to the theory. “https://reddit.com/r/FlatEarthIsReal/comments/10mvhrd/new_flat_earther_looking_for_actual_answers/”>View Reddit by Adriangunerius – View Source
Go to a shore and watch a large ship approach the horizon, with a very good camera and watch it disappear over the horizon, we can all agree there is a point it cannot be seen again. Now watch how it disappears, on a globe it would get smaller and disappear from the bottom up. This is due to the curvature. On a flat earth it should just get smaller till it cannot be seen anymore yet when it is visable you should see the whole ship. Or What if you found a mountain large hill or large building that…
I can’t tell from recent posts, is this a joking flat earth sub, or legit? “https://reddit.com/r/FlatEarthIsReal/comments/10kkxar/i_cant_tell_from_recent_posts_is_this_a_joking/”>View Reddit by The_One_True_Goddess – View Source

https://www.juliantrubin.com/bigten/eratosthenes.html Eratosthenes will always be remembered for the calculation of the Earth's circumference circa 240 BC, using trigonometry and knowledge of the angle of elevation of the Sun at noon in Alexandria and Syene (now Aswan, Egypt). The calculation is based on the assumption that the Earth is spherical and that the Sun is so far away that its rays can be taken as parallel. Today, most scientists set the earth's circumference at 40,096 kilometers (24,901 miles). This gives Eratosthenes' estimate less than a one percent error—an excellent approximation of the earth's circumference. How could Eratosthenes accurately calculate the Earth's…
Here's a picture of the entire city of Chicago from the Michigan shoreline. Here's an abc57 article talking about the picture. https://www.abc57.com/news/mirage-of-chicago-skyline-seen-from-michigan-shoreline From the article: A picture of the Chicago skyline taken almost 60 miles away, is actually a mirage. This is a form of Superior Mirage, superior in this meaning the mirage or image of the skyline is seen above where it's actually located. The article has to claim this because from where the picture was taken, there should be over 2,000 feet of obstruction caused by the supposed curvature of the earth, but yet we see the entire…
