Prefacing with a different subreddits mod banned me for posting a similar question on another subreddit. I genuinely want to know how this fits in a flat earth model.

A sunrise in Maine is around the same time as a sunrise in Chile.
This works on a globe model since roughly half the ball gets illuminated by the sun at any given time making a line.

How would a local light source make a straight line like that? Every flat earth model I've seen with a sun shows a circle of light but that doesn't align with sunrise times that are easily verifiable.
