As a physics student, one of the first things you are told is how pendulums move, and how gravity is the driving force, then you are shown how gravitational fields work, actual experiments that show that smallish non electromagneticaly charged objects attract as predicted by the theory with the predicted force.

Even later you are told to abstract your knowledge to the fundamental principles and from there you can get to all those things you were first told

So, as mostly a body of non initiated to the physical sciences, what is gravity for you? Have you ever seen the mathematical description? have you heard some of the wilder abstractions and discarded the entire concept because you couldn't belive that abstraction?
